Because it is. It actually is that bad. A good case would at least make it worth putting up with, but there's nothing here.
[ this just in: donna troy is snooty has impossibly high standards for the truly middle-of-nowhere towns they're driving through at any given time. but she also just... might not be in a great mood. because okay, yes, donna's very independent, and there's really never been a time where she relied on someone else to keep her focused or motivated or anything at all.
but this line of work is very different than the "investigative journalism" gigs she was lining up for herself after the titans split. it's a lot heavier, and a lot lonelier, and maybe she's not totally equipped to deal with it alone yet, or maybe she just misses h-
